   New

   • Your keys can follow whatever is playing. Pokoe used to send every press to the one player you had picked, even when something else was playing. Picking a player now pins it, and with nothing pinned each press goes to whatever is playing at that moment, whether that is Spotify, Apple Music or a YouTube tab. Click a pinned player again to unpin it and follow along instead.
   • Unpinning no longer hands your keys back to macOS. It used to, which is the unreliable behaviour Pokoe exists to replace, reached by a click that looks like it just clears a choice. If that is the state you were in, Pokoe is now following what plays. Pin a player again whenever you want a fixed target.

   • "On air" is now "Playing". The old wording had to be vague because the signal underneath it could not tell paused from playing. It reads the system now playing session instead, so the plain word is true.

   Fixed

   • A silent browser tab no longer looks like it is playing. SoundCloud and YouTube rows could both show the mark with the tabs merely open and nothing playing. A browser keeps its audio output open once it has played anything, so that mark was never about the tab you were looking at.
   • A tab you closed no longer keeps its row, and detection is quicker. Browsers are checked at the same time rather than one after another, and Pokoe takes another look the moment you bring a browser to the front.

   New

   • YouTube in your browser. Your media keys now control a YouTube tab the same way they control a music app: play, pause and skip, with no desktop app and no extension. It works in every browser, and YouTube Music on the web comes along with it. Pick YouTube in the panel the way you pick any other player.
   • Only when you are actually watching something. A YouTube tab parked on the homepage does not put a row in your panel. Pokoe offers YouTube when there is a video, a playlist or a short open.

   Fixed

   • Two browser tabs no longer get mixed up. With SoundCloud and YouTube open in the same browser, pressing play for one could control the other. macOS reports only a single app as "now playing", and for both tabs that app is the same browser, so there was nothing to tell them apart by. Pokoe now works out which tab is really playing and reaches the one you chose.

   Fixed

   • No more permission prompt you have already answered. Pokoe could ask for Accessibility access out of the blue while the switch was already on, because macOS reports a second copy of an app (a beta build, a stale copy in Downloads) as if it were never granted. Pokoe now trusts the grant you have already given.
   • The "On air" label sits still between tracks. Players drop their audio stream for a moment when one track ends and the next begins, so the label blinked off and on again on every track change.

   Improved

   • A better empty panel. With nothing playing, Pokoe now tells you which player your media keys will reach, and wears its own mark instead of a generic music note.
